Bruno - Has been adopted!
Bruno is a 3 year old male pug mix. He tested positive for Lyme disease.on his arrival We are currently treating him for this. Seems to be in the early stages, not showing any signs of permanent damage. Bruno is a runner & will require a secure fenced yard. Updates to come. UPDATE: Treatment for his Lyme disease is almost completed, he has one more booster shot yet. Treatment should be complete in Nov. He is showing no affects of this disease, it's believed we caught it early during routine bloodwork for heartworm testing upon his arrival. Once a dog has Lyme disease they will always test positive for life. During his lifetime the disease may flare up and when it does he'll need to be on Doxycycline for about 4-6 weeks and booster shots. His bladder stones have been removed. He has been placed on prescription dog food. UPDATE: Bruno has completed his treatment for Lyme Disease and is now available for adoption BRUNO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!! |
