Welcome to our site.
Our Mission as a non-profit organization serving
the Southwest Pennsylvania area is to rescue
older, disabled and special needs pugs that
require ongoing special care and/or medical
treatment from shelters where these particular
pugs are scheduled to be euthanized and
considered unadoptable to the general public,
where we will be dedicated to providing
appropriate medical treatment and placing them
into a nurturing environment, utilizing temporary
foster homes, while awaiting adoption into loving
forever homes.

Each pug will be evaluated on a case by case basis as to the severity of their
particular need or disability along with any ongoing medical treatment considered,
restoring their health whenever possible, or if only corrective surgery is needed,
whether they will be placed permanently in a foster home where we will be
dedicated to providing medical treatment and long-term care for these pugs for the
remaining days of their lives, or be put up for adoption to find them an appropriate
loving forever home.
Southwest PA Pugs with Special Needs is a not-for-profit, no-kill, last chance rescue
organization.  SW PA Pugs with Special Needs runs solely on volunteers and
donations.  Visit our
Rescue Info page for more details on fostering.  Volunteering is
a great way to help out during events and other upcoming activities that will be listed
on our
News/Events Page.  Make sure to visit this page to find out how you can help.
Spreading the word is very important.  Networking with other sites & organizations is
beneficial in making people aware that we exist and to steer traffic to our website.  If
you would like to become one of our partners, please email
support@swpapug.org
for more information.  Lastly and the most important of all are donations.  To keep our
organization running and to afford the care of rescues, donations are very crucial.
There are many ways to donate.  Gift Cards, Monetary Donations, Pet Items, click
here to view our Wish List.   Monetary donations are critical for the care of our rescued
pugs.  100% of donations go directly towards the medical costs, care & placement for
our pugs.

We have created a Paypal Donation button below for your convenience.  Any amount,
large or small is welcome. We are IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.  Not comfortable
with donating online?  No problem.  You can mail your donations directly to SW PA
Pugs with Special Needs.  Send to:  SW PA Pugs with Special Needs, PO Box 185,
Leechburg, PA  15656.
