| PUGTOBERFEST in PA 2011 Saturday, October 8th, 2011 Location: Kunkle Park 285 Pine Run Church Rd. Apollo, PA 15613 Gates open at 11 am Contests begin at 12 noon Event runs until 4 pm. Festival open to Pugs & All Small Breed Dogs Many Contests Chinese Auction Vendors Tons & tons of Pug & Small Dog Fun Event schedule: 12:00 Welcome 12:15 Pug/Owner Look-a-like 12:30 Curliest Pug Tail 12:45 Best Trick Pugwannabee (open to all non-pug breeds) 1:00 Longest Pug Tongue 1:15 Group Costume (open to all but must have at least 1 pug in group) 1:30 Chinese Auction Drawings Table #1 2:00 Pugwannabee/Owner Look-a-like 2:15 Best Pug Trick 2:30 Longest Kissing Pug 2:45 Cutest Pugwannabee (costumes permitted) 3:00 Individual Pug Costume Contest 3:30 Chinese Auction Drawings Table #2 3:45 50/50 winner announced 4:00 Thank you for coming Dr. Jeffrey Pope V.M.D., with Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital in Monroeville, will be joining us at the event for your "ask the vet" questions. Kiddie Pools will be available for your four-legged friend to take a cool dip if we have hot weather. Don't forget to bring a towel. Click on the "what to bring" link for a recommended list. We'll be accepting donated items from our 2011 Wish List the day of the event. Just bring whatever items you have to donate along with you the day of the event.. Kunkle Park's playground will be available for the kids to play. Children playing on the playground must be accompanied by an adult at all times. SW PA Pugs will not be supervising the playground area and cannot be held responsible for any injuries that may occur. Suggested $5.00 donation per person to attend, children under 12 are free. Proceeds benefit Southwest PA Pugs with Special Needs to pay for medical & ongoing expenses for our rescued pugs. Come join us for a day of Pug fun at beautiful Kunkle Park. Event will be held rain or shine. You won't want to miss this fun Pug Festival!!! Don't forget to stop by the rescue tent to visit our available pug rescues. Our pugs can't wait for all the fun!! |
